Who are you disconnected from? Who disconnected from you? LinkedIn Remove

Understanding Disconnections on LinkedIn with LeadDelta

In LeadDelta, we provide you with enhanced visibility into your LinkedIn connections, including insights about who you’ve disconnected from and who has disconnected from you. Understanding these changes can help you manage and maintain your professional network effectively. Here’s a guide on how LeadDelta can help track these disconnections.

It is important to understand that the Disconnect Auto Tag begins working when you install the LeadDelta Chrome App (extension).

1. Who Did You Disconnect From?

It’s useful to track connections you’ve decided to remove from your network. You can disconnect them from LinkedIn, but you can still keep them in LeadDelta for future reference.

Here's how to do it:

On the Connections page, apply filters and bulk-select the connections from which you want to disconnect.
Then click the 3 dots menu.
Go for Disconnect from LinkedIn. Mind you, you can only do 25 at a time (we are working on improving that).

If you want to view these disconnected Connections in the future, then go to:

On the Connections page, Go to Filters
Auto-tags... apply Disconnected tag
connections from which you want to disconnect

2. Who Disconnected from You?

Keeping track of disconnections allows you to understand any shifts in your network. We are working on a feature to distinguish between who disconnected from you and who you disconnected from. In the meantime here is a workaround:

On the Connections page, apply filters and bulk-select the Connections you want to disconnect from.
Apply a Tag: LD-Disconnected (Key!)
Then click the 3 dots menu.
Go for Disconnect from LinkedIn. Mind you, you can only do 25 at a time (we are working on improving that).

If you want to see who disconnected from you, then go to:

On the Connections page, Go to Filters
Exclude Tags... apply LD-Disconnected tag
Auto-tags... apply Disconnected tag

What you've just accomplished: well, you not only Disconnected Connections, but there's also a tag that tells you that you removed connections through LeadDelta. In other words it was removed by you. When we Sync your connections next time (or you do so manually), if there is an auto Disconnected tag and not "LD-Disconnected" you'll know they removed you.

Note: LinkedIn does not directly notify users of disconnections. LeadDelta fills this gap by providing insights to help you keep track.

——

Please know that the above doesn't work if you choose to remove a connection on LinkedIn, in that case LeadDelta will just:

Sync Changes: Automatically sync your LinkedIn network changes, ensuring you always have an updated view of your connections.
Visibility Across Workspaces: LeadDelta will show a disconnect tag and you won't know who disconnected from who.

So always disconnect through LeadDelta.

Tip: Use LeadDelta’s tagging and filtering features to segment connections and make informed decisions before removing someone from your network.

Why This Matters

Knowing who has disconnected from you can give you valuable insights, whether it’s understanding changing business relationships or keeping track of connections you may want to reconnect with in the future.
