How to Message a Connection

You will be able to message your connections by finding that specific connection and then clicking on the ellipsis (⋯) - More Menu - on the right-hand side of the connection row and selecting Message option.

You can also send messages to multiple users at the same time by ticking the checkbox on the left-hand side for the connections you wish to message and then clicking on the Message button in the action bar.

The limit for the bulk action is 25 connections at once.

To select only 25 connections, please change the number of items per page first- How to change the number of items per page video

Once you click on the Message option/button for messaging a single connection, this action will take you straight to the Inbox in the existing or open a new conversation.

You can choose to add the dynamic fields in case you wish to use the connection's first or last name and company name in the bulk messaging flow, i.e., wherever you enter these fields, the connection will get their first or last name instead.

Also, you can choose one of the templates you have previously created in the Templates section by selecting it in the Select Template dropdown.

Or when in Inbox, you can click the Template button in the bottom right corner next to the send button, and the same options and pop-up will appear.

**Words of the wise:

"If you are already sending maximum amount of personalized messages at scale per day to your connections:

Do personalize it with the first name;
Do not overdo it. Especially if you don’t usually send more than a few messages a day;
Do not include an URL if you are sending to more than 5 connections. Instead ask a question “Would you like to _?”
LinkedIn doesn’t like when you send the same URL that sends users off of LinkedIn.

Thanks,
Your LeadDelta team
