Why can't I apply a tag to some of the messages in inbox?

Sometimes when you're in the inbox and trying to apply a tag to your conversations, you'll notice that the tag button is grayed out or it's not shown on the right side of the conversation box.

Missing Tag Button

Usually this happens if:
The person messaging you is not your 1st-degree connection,
The person messaging you is a new connection, and you haven't synced it into the system.

The fix to this is very simple, just click on the sync button in the top right corner, wait for the sync to be done, refresh the page and proceed tagging the conversation.
