Understanding Dashboard Items in LeadDelta: What the Numbers Mean
When you log in to LeadDelta, your dashboard gives you a quick overview of your network—whether it's LinkedIn connections, followers, or imported leads. But what exactly do these numbers mean, and why don’t they always match what you see on LinkedIn?
Let’s break down the four key metrics on your dashboard: LinkedIn Followers, LinkedIn Followings, LinkedIn Connections, and LeadDelta Contacts—and clarify why you may notice some differences between LinkedIn and LeadDelta.
🔁 First Things First: Syncing
LeadDelta automatically syncs your LinkedIn data twice a day—once when you log in and again 12 hours later. You can also manually sync every 15 minutes via your extension settings.
That said, numbers between LeadDelta and LinkedIn won’t always match 1:1. Here's why:
LeadDelta only pulls valid data made available via LinkedIn’s official APIs.
LinkedIn may show slightly different counts based on their own logic and data indexing.
LeadDelta keeps track of removed/disconnected contacts for history and context (with a gray background and “LD-removed” tag).
LeadDelta also supports manual imports via CSVs or other tools—which don’t exist in LinkedIn’s native interface.

4. LeadDelta Contacts
This is the most comprehensive number—and often higher than what LinkedIn shows.
It includes:
Your current 1st-degree LinkedIn Connections
Disconnected/ex-connections (auto-tagged LD-removed or LI-removed)
CSV imports
LeadDelta-enriched or manually added prospects
Contacts from third-party integrations
This number reflects your entire contact universe inside LeadDelta. Clicking this number opens the full Connections Table.
📌 Important: LeadDelta will never delete ex-connections and you can choose to hide them. Instead, we keep them visually separated and tagged for context.
🧠 Why Your Numbers May Differ from LinkedIn
Here’s a quick summary:
Scenario | What Happens |
---|---|
You disconnected someone on LinkedIn | They’re removed from LinkedIn but kept in LeadDelta with a tag: LD-removed or LI-removed |
You imported leads via CSV | They count in LeadDelta but don’t exist on LinkedIn |
You followed someone but didn’t connect | They're counted as a “Following” but not a “Connection” |
LinkedIn’s API doesn’t expose a profile | It won’t show up in LeadDelta |
A contact is pending deletion or account restricted | LinkedIn may still show them, LeadDelta won’t sync them in |
