Maximizing the Power of Tags

Using LeadDelta tags effectively can significantly enhance your personal CRM or company CRM workflow, helping you to organize, prioritize, and engage with your Connections more strategically.

FYI: you can make private tags, or workspace-wide tags. You are the only one who can see private tags, workspace-wide tags can be used by all the members of your workspace.

Here’s how you can make the most out of LeadDelta tags:

1. Segmentation

Categorize Leads: Use tags to categorize your leads based on characteristics such as:
↳ industry keywords: B2B, B2C, eCommerce...
↳ location regions: North-America, EU, DACH...
↳ lead source: SEO, Referral, Social...
↳ engagement level: Hot, Warm, Cold...
Role-Based Tags: Apply tags based on the role or seniority of contacts, such as C-Suite, Director, Manager...
Seniority Tags: Apply tags based on the role or seniority of contacts, such as Senior, Medior, Junior...

2. Prioritization

Urgency Tags: Implement tags like Urgent, Follow-up, High-Priority... to ensure that your team addresses the most critical leads first.
Lifecycle Stages: Tag leads based on their stage in the sales funnel, such as Prospect, Qualified, Meeting, Customer, Churn... to streamline follow-ups and actions.

3. Personalization

Interest-Based Tags: Assign tags based on specific interests or pain points of your leads to tailor your outreach and communication such as: Just raised $, Hiring Tech., Expanding to MENA...
Event or community Tags: If you meet leads at events or webinars, use tags to note where the contact was made (e.g., "SaaStr2025"), which can personalize follow-up messages: Met at ...

4. Collaboration

Team-Based Tags: If multiple team members handle different accounts, use tags to assign leads to specific team members or departments: Sales, CEO-contacts, Recruitment...
Activity-Based Tags: Mark leads based on recent interactions, such as Needs Demo, Pending Response, Contract Sent...

Before we continue...

I really enjoy playing around with pre-fixes such as words or numbers and colors. It helps me organize my Tags better. Such as:

1. Idea
2. Prospect
3. Qualified
4. Meeting booked
5. Not ICP

or prefix like Community:
Comm: SaaS Founders
Comm: YC crew
Comm: RevGenius

5. Tracking and Reporting

Performance Analysis: Use tags to track the performance of different lead segments, which can help you refine your targeting and strategies.
Campaign Effectiveness: Monitor the effectiveness of marketing campaigns by tagging leads generated from specific campaigns Webinar: LeadGen, Affiliate: Campaign1, Cold: Outreach...

6. Cleanup and Organization

Hide/Remove or Delete: Tag old or unresponsive connections with tags such as To Delete, To Disconnect, To Hide... so they don’t clutter your active pipeline but are still searchable if needed later. Use LeadDelta bulk operations to remove.

7. Shout-Outs and Recognitions

Helper Tags: If certain Connections or contacts have been particularly helpful or refer you to others, create tags like Referral Partner, Helpful to easily recognize and reward them.

Some more ideas:

Task Management: Create Tasks and link your connections based on tags, ensuring that no lead or connection falls through the cracks.
Workflow Integration: Integrate tags with your automation tools to trigger specific actions, like sending an email sequence or adding leads to a drip campaign. Use our Zapier integration and soon web hooks.

By consistently applying and updating your tags, you can maintain a well-organized CRM that enhances your team’s efficiency, fosters better collaboration, and drives more personalized and effective lead engagement.
