LeadDelta AI Campaigns: Automate Your LinkedIn Outreach (Train your agent)
AI Campaigns: Automate Your LinkedIn Outreach
Campaigns let you put your LinkedIn outreach on autopilot — connection requests, personalized messages, post likes, and comments — while staying safely inside LinkedIn's activity limits. You build a sequence once, add leads, and LeadDelta runs it for you, either from your browser or entirely in the cloud.
What it is
A campaign is a repeatable outreach sequence sent to a list of recipients. Each campaign has four parts:
- Settings — name, description, and where the campaign runs (your computer or the cloud)
- Recipients — who you're reaching out to, from one of five lead sources
- Outreach sequence — the steps LeadDelta performs (like, comment, connect, message) and when
- Review — a final check before you hit Start
AI can write your comments, connection notes, and messages for you. Because LeadDelta already knows your workspace — your contacts, tags, notes, and how you write — AI-generated steps are personalized per recipient, not mail-merged.
When to use it
- Grow your network with new prospects. Pull leads from LeadSearch (our database of 500M+ professionals) filtered by title, location, industry, and company size.
- Turn a LinkedIn post into a lead list. Paste any post URL and import everyone who commented — great for lead-magnet posts ("comment 'ebook' and I'll send it over").
- Re-engage people already in your workspace. Follow up with trials, past customers, or contacts a teammate is connected to, straight from your Contacts table.
- Run outreach for your whole team. Connect teammates' LinkedIn accounts and schedule campaigns to send on their behalf from the cloud.
Before you start
- Campaigns are available on plans that include the Campaigner. If you don't see Campaigns in your sidebar, check your plan in Settings → Billing or message us via the in-app chat.
- To run a campaign on your computer, you need the LeadDelta Chrome extension installed and connected to LinkedIn.
- To run a campaign in the cloud, you'll connect a LinkedIn account inside the campaign builder (one-time setup per account).
Step-by-step: create your first campaign
1. Open the campaign builder
Go to Campaigns in the left sidebar and click + New Campaign.

2. Campaign settings
- Name your campaign (required).
- Add a Description (optional but recommended) — a detailed description pre-fills the AI message instructions later in the sequence step, so a line like "Reaching out to SaaS founders about LeadDelta" saves you time.
- Choose a lead source:
- LeadSearch — find new prospects by role, company, location, and keywords
- LeadDelta Contacts — people already saved in your workspace
- CSV import — upload a CSV with LinkedIn profile URLs or public identifiers
- Post URL — paste a LinkedIn post link to import everyone who commented on it
- Custom campaign — create the campaign now, add recipients manually later
- Choose where the campaign runs:
- On your computer — runs through your Chrome browser. Chrome must stay open and your computer awake; close your laptop and outreach pauses until you're back.
- In the cloud 24/7 — no browser, no extension. Set & forget; campaigns run on your schedule, from your account or a teammate's, until done or paused

Cloud campaigns only: two extra options appear.
- Sending window — restrict when the cloud sends messages. Pick a timezone, active hours (e.g., 09:00–17:00), and days (e.g., Mon–Fri). Leave it disabled to run 24/7.
- Connect LinkedIn account — reuse an account already connected in your workspace (no need to re-enter credentials; its daily limit is shared across campaigns), or connect a new one with country, LinkedIn email, and password. You can skip this and add accounts later from the edit view.

- Click Next step.
3. Choose recipients
What you see here depends on your lead source. For LeadSearch:
- Set Max leads to import (up to 500 LeadSearch leads per campaign).
- Add at least one lead targeting filter. People filters: job titles (one-click chips for CEO, CFO, VP Sales, Founder, Owner, and more), country, city, state, school. Company filters: industry, company size, company name.
- Click Fetch more leads to pull matches, or Reset & re-fetch to start over with new filters.
For Post URL, paste the link and LeadDelta imports all unique commenters — duplicates are removed automatically.
Every lead appears in a table below with their headline, company, and location. Vet the list before you continue: remove anyone who doesn't fit with the trash icon. Quality in, quality out.

4. Build your outreach sequence
Pick a template or start from scratch:
- Empty — add only the steps you need (e.g., message-only for existing contacts)
- Connect + Message — the standard outreach flow
- Warm Up First — like their post, then connect and message
- Full Engagement — like + comment before connecting
- Connect Only — connection request, no follow-up
Available steps: Connection Request, Direct Message, Post Like, and Post Comment. Drag to reorder, and set the Day offset on each step to space things out (e.g., like and comment on Day 0, connect on Day 1, message on Day 2). Direct messages send only after the connection request is accepted.
For comments, notes, and messages you have three options:
- No note (connection requests only) — sometimes the most sincere approach, and worth A/B testing
- Template — write it yourself with variables like
{{firstName}},{{company}}, and{{title}}; deterministic, personalizes only the variables you insert - AI-generated — describe what you want (e.g., "Write a genuine comment on {{firstName}}'s post at {{company}}. Under 200 characters.") and AI writes a unique version per recipient, personalizing on any data point it has — including matching the language of the prospect's post

- Click Next step.
5. Review and launch
Check your settings, recipients, and sequence — each section has an Edit button if something's off. Then either Save as draft or Start campaign to go live.

Managing running campaigns
Back on the Campaigns page, each card shows live stats: pending, invites sent, accepted, messages sent, replied, converted, and more. Use Start, Pause, Stop, and Edit on any campaign, and filter the page by status (Draft, Active, Paused, Canceled).
When a lead replies, they're automatically marked Replied and removed from remaining steps — no awkward automated follow-ups after a real conversation has started. From there, jump into your LeadDelta Inbox to respond, and mark leads Converted, Closed Lost, or Failed on the campaign's Leads page.
FAQs
What are the daily limits? LeadDelta enforces conservative, LinkedIn-safe activity limits per LinkedIn profile: up to 25 connection requests, 40 direct messages, 15 post likes, and 15 comments per day. Connection requests also have a hard weekly cap of 100 per profile — LinkedIn's own rule. You can view your usage and lower any of these quotas in Settings → Account activity; the maximums are fixed to keep your account safe. Protecting your account always comes first.

Is there a limit on personalized connection notes? Yes, and it comes from LinkedIn: free LinkedIn accounts can send a maximum of 5 personalized notes per month, while LinkedIn Premium accounts get unlimited personalized notes. Your remaining allowance is shown in Settings → Account activity. If you're on a free LinkedIn account, the "No note" option is your friend — and often converts just as well.
What happens if I run multiple campaigns at once? All campaigns using the same LinkedIn profile share that profile's daily limits, whether they run through the extension or the cloud. LeadDelta queues and rotates sends across campaigns with natural delays, so nothing goes out in suspicious bursts.
Should I run campaigns on my computer or in the cloud? Cloud is the "set & forget" option — it runs on schedule whether your laptop is open or not, and it's the only way to run campaigns on a teammate's account. On-computer works well if you prefer everything to happen through your own browser session, but outreach pauses whenever Chrome closes or your computer sleeps.
What's the difference between Template and AI-generated messages? Templates personalize only the variables you insert (first name, company, title, etc.) — every recipient gets the same structure. AI-generated messages are written fresh for each person based on your prompt and the data LeadDelta has about them, and can even match the language of a prospect's post.
Can my sequence just send messages, without a connection request? Yes. Start with the Empty template and add only a Direct Message step — useful when your recipients are existing LeadDelta Contacts you're already connected with.
Will the campaign keep messaging someone after they reply? No. Once a lead messages back, they're marked Replied and exit the sequence automatically.
