How to Connect Your LinkedIn to Perplexity Using LeadDelta
Category: Integrations | Read time: 5 min | Updated: April 2026
Your LinkedIn network is only as useful as your ability to search it. By connecting LeadDelta to Perplexity via a remote MCP connector, you can ask about your connections in plain language — and combine that data with Perplexity's live web search in the same window. Find the right person, research their company, and draft your outreach without switching tabs.
What You Need Before You Start
- Perplexity Pro, Max, or Enterprise plan — remote MCP connectors are only available on paid Perplexity plans (not the free tier).
- LeadDelta Pro, Business plan — the LeadDelta MCP endpoint is enabled on Business accounts only.
- LeadDelta API key — generated in under a minute from your Integrations tab at app.leaddelta.com/integrations.
Note: Perplexity's remote MCP connector feature was launched for paid subscribers in early 2026. If you don't see the Connectors option in your account settings, make sure your plan is active and try refreshing. The steps below reflect the current Perplexity web app — UI labels may shift over time.
Step-by-Step Setup
Step 0 — Generate your LeadDelta API key
Go to app.leaddelta.com/integrations (last tab in LeadDelta's main navigation) and click Generate API Key if you don't have one. Copy it — you'll paste it in a later step.
Step 1 — Log in to Perplexity
Go to perplexity.ai and sign in to your Pro, Max, or Enterprise account.
**Step 2 — Open account profile or go here: **https://www.perplexity.ai/account/connectors
Click your profile avatar in the bottom left corner, then click Connectors.
Step 3 — Add a custom connector
Click Add Connector (or the + icon). When prompted, choose the Remote MCP option — not "Local MCP", which requires a desktop helper app.

Step 4 — Name the connector
Enter a name like LeadDelta so it's easy to identify in your connectors list.
Step 5 — Enter the LeadDelta MCP server URL
In the Server URL field, paste:
https://mcp.leaddelta.com/mcp

**Step 6 — Click "+" button **
After the Custom Connector is added, find LeadDelta custom connector and click "+" button.

Step 7 — Authenticate
Perplexity will attempt to connect to the LeadDelta MCP server, all you need to do is login to your account. Once confirmed, the connector will appear as active. ✅

**Step 8 — Go to chat and select LeadDelta connector **
Once you are in your Perplexity chat just select the LeadDelta connector and start conversing.

What You Can Do Once Connected
Once connected, Perplexity can read and query your LeadDelta workspace in plain language — and layer in live web search from the same conversation. Here are the most useful things you can do:
- Smart search — Ask for connections by role, company, location, industry, or tag — no filter menus needed.
- Combine with web search — Find a contact in LeadDelta, then ask Perplexity to look up their company's latest news in the same conversation.
- Outreach drafting — Pull a connection's details and ask Perplexity to write a personalized opening line based on their current role.
- Network breakdown — Get a snapshot of your network by company, title, geography, or tag — useful before a sales sprint or conference.
- Target account mapping — Before an intro request, see which of your connections already work at a company you're pursuing.
- Research + reach in one flow — Identify a cold connection, research their background live, and get a message draft without leaving Perplexity.
Example Prompts to Try
Start a new Perplexity conversation and try these once connected:
- "Show me all my LinkedIn connections who work at companies that recently closed a Series B or later round."
- "Who in my LeadDelta network is a VP of Sales or Chief Revenue Officer? Look up what their current company does."
- "Find connections I've tagged as 'warm lead' that I haven't been in touch with in over 90 days."
- "Who do I know at Google, Meta, or Microsoft? Give me a quick summary of each person's current role."
- "Give me a breakdown of my network by industry, then tell me which of those industries are seeing the most funding right now."
- "Find my connections in Berlin and draft a short outreach message for the one most likely to be interested in an AI product."
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a paid Perplexity plan?
Yes. Remote MCP connectors are only available on Perplexity Pro, Max, and Enterprise plans. The free tier does not support custom remote connectors.
Which LeadDelta plan is required?
You need a LeadDelta Pro or Business plan. The MCP endpoint is only enabled for Business accounts. The feature is not available on Pro or lower plans.
Is my LinkedIn data safe when using this integration?
Yes. Perplexity connects to LeadDelta using your personal API key over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Your data stays within your LeadDelta workspace — Perplexity reads it on demand during the conversation and does not store it independently. You can revoke the API key at any time from the LeadDelta Integrations tab.
How do I generate or revoke a LeadDelta API key?
Go to the Integrations tab inside LeadDelta (last item in the main navigation). Click Generate API Key to create one, or Revoke to invalidate an existing key. A revoked key will immediately disconnect any integration using it.
What if the connector shows an error after setup?
Double-check that the MCP URL is entered exactly as https://mcp.leaddelta.com/mcp. Make sure your LeadDelta account is on the Business plan and that your API key has not been revoked. If issues persist, contact support@leaddelta.com.
Can I share this connector across my team on Perplexity Enterprise?
Perplexity Enterprise allows administrators to share connectors across the organization. However, since each LeadDelta API key is tied to a personal account, each team member will need their own LeadDelta Business plan and their own API key to access their own network data.
