# How to Create a Template

Templates are really useful feature for messaging purpose in case you want to send the same message to multiple connections at the same time.  

When creating a message that you wish to send to your connections, you will be able to choose one of the created templates. 

Just head over to the **Templates** section by clicking on the **Templates** tab in the top bar and you will be presented with the list of the **Default Templates**. 

The **Default Templates** will have the Type set to Default so you will be able to easily distinguish them from the templates that you have created.

In order to create a new template, just click on the **Add New Template** option and a pop-up will appear where you will be able to name the template and enter the actual content by using plain text and placeholders, **First Name**, **Last Name,** **Company and Sender Name**.

Once the Template is created, you will be presented with the success toast notification.

and you will be able to start using this template in the Connections section when messaging your connections. 

The Templates that you create on your own will have a **Custom** type.
